Upload the Signed I-983 and send to the DSO
After both parties have signed the training plan, the student will scan the signed document, run an app to upload the signed version, and, optionally, automatically send it to the DSO.
The student will be prompted to upload the I-983. The student will also upload the addendum if one exists and there have been any edits. The student is also given the option to automatically send the tI-983 to the DSO of the recommending school. If the student does not select this option, s/he will need to separately send the document to the DSO.
Please note - the student is responsible for following up with the DSO to confirm receipt of the I-983.
Download and Sign
After both the student and employer have completed the training plan questions, the draft I-983 will be available via e-mail and in the portals.
The government requires that I-983 Training Plans have wet signatures. Therefore, the training plan must be printed and signed in pen. The addendum, if there is one, does not need to be printed or signed.
There are multiple places where the student must sign and date the document.
There is an attestation that must be signed by an authorized employer signatory. This may or may not be the student's supervisor.
There are also attestations that must be signed by the student's supervisor who may or may not be the authorized employer signatory.
